Onboarding Checklist
A guide for building and launching your site on the ArchiTECH platform
Welcome to ArchiTECH.
Launching a new website is hard work. We can help ease that burden by ensuring that you have all of the tools and resources that you need in order to launch a beautiful site quickly and easily.
Step 1
Design Selection and Branding
ArchiTECH supports unlimited customization options. Select from one of our existing site designs or let our award-winning design team customize a design for you. We will work with your existing branding specifications, or help you to build a consistent brand guideline.
All of our designs include built-in support for additional customization at any time with font and color customizations available in our site editor.
Step 2
Plan Content Migration
Whether you are coming from an existing website, or starting fresh your site content needs top priority.
If you need assistance or guidance we are always available to answer questions.
1. Determine your site navigation structure and Information Architecture
2. Build a list of page content that needs to be copied by hand
3. Do you have content coming from external systems? Check with us to see if we can build an automatic import (one time or scheduled)
4. Do you have content from a data source (e.g. Excel, CSV) that needs a custom import? Check with us to plan a migration script.
5. Determine if you have any existing urls that you need to keep for SEO purposes and build a legacy url redirect strategy
Step 3
Schedule Training Sessions
A member of the ArchiTECH support team will be happy to provide a demonstration and overview of your site, including all basic features and how to add and edit pages.
During the training we will answer any questions that you may have so that can be confident when authoring, and publishing changes to your site
Step 4
Determine User Accounts, Groups, and Roles
ArchiTech supports the ability to add unlimited users. Users can also be organized into groups.
If your organization requires Single Sign-On, we also support SAML.
1) Determine if you will be using Single SignOn (SSO) or use ArchiTECH accounts.
2) List the users who will need access, and determine the roles each user should have
3) If needed, you may create custom roles using fine-grained permissions
4) Organize user into groups
Step 5
Launch Planning
Before launching your new site, There are a few steps to ensure a smooth transition
1) Perform final site scans for SEO, accessibility, content, and best practices
2) Obtain SSL Security certificates - This involves domain name ownership verification.
3) Plan for DNS settings changes. This will typically take up to 24 hours for changes to be available worldwide
